AgriNet Terms and Conditions



1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or accessing AgriNet, users agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all users of the system, including Project Managers, Farm Assistants, and Business Affairs Office (BAO) staff. Continued use of the platform signifies acceptance of any future updates to these terms.

2. Purpose of the System
-AgriNet is a web-based crop management platform designed exclusively for the Quezon National Agricultural School (QNAS). Its purpose is to:
-Digitize crop planning, scheduling, and monitoring of permanent crops such as mango and dragon fruit.
-Provide GIS-based mapping for accurate crop tagging and visualization.
-Manage and record inventory, budget, and farm-related reports.
-Support QNAS administrative and educational functions through centralized farm data management

3. User Accounts and Responsibilities
-Account Creation: Only authorized QNAS personnel may register. Users must provide accurate and verifiable information.
-Access Control: The BAO staff manages account creation, modification, or deletion. Users must not share login credentials.
-User Roles:
-Project Managers plan, tag, and monitor crop activities.
-Farm Assistants record field data and update progress.
-BAO Staff oversee reports, finances, and audit logs
-Accountability: Users are responsible for all actions performed under their accounts. Unauthorized use or data alteration is strictly prohibited.

4. System Usage and Data Handling
-Users must utilize AgriNet solely for agricultural and academic purposes under QNAS operations.
-Data entered, including crop information, inventory records, and financial details, must be truthful and accurate.
-Users shall not upload, store, or share content that is unlawful, misleading, or unrelated to QNAS agricultural operations.
-AgriNet records user activities for audit purposes (login/logout tracking, data edits, and updates).

5. Data Privacy and Security
-AgriNet collects limited personal information (e.g., name, position, email) for identification and access control.
-All data are securely stored in the QNAS database (MySQL) and are accessible only to authorized users.
-The system uses login authentication and role-based permissions to prevent unauthorized access.
-Users agree to protect their credentials and report any suspected security breaches to the BAO immediately.
-AgriNet complies with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173).

6. Intellectual Property
All system features, database structures, interface designs, and written content within AgriNet are the intellectual property of the AgriNet research developers (Enero, Devilles, Miguel) and QNAS. Copying, reproducing, or redistributing the system or its modules without consent is strictly prohibited.

7. System Limitations
-AgriNet is designed for educational and institutional use within QNAS and may not cover all advanced agricultural analytics.
-The system requires a stable internet connection for full functionality.
-Some modules (e.g., GIS mapping and reporting) rely on third-party open-source libraries such as Leaflet.js and OpenStreetMap
-The developers and QNAS are not liable for data loss due to user negligence, connectivity issues, or external server failures.

8. User Conduct
Users agree to:
-Operate the system responsibly and ethically.
-Avoid tampering with or attempting to bypass system security features.
-Refrain from using the platform to spread inaccurate or confidential data.
-Respect institutional data ownership and confidentiality.

9. Modifications and Updates
The developers and QNAS administration reserve the right to update or modify system features, policies, or these Terms and Conditions at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes through in-system announcements or email notices.

10. Termination of Access
Violation of these Terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of user access by the BAO or system administrators. Deleted accounts may lead to the removal of associated data if deemed necessary for system integrity.

11. Limitation of Liability
While the system aims to provide accurate data visualization and reporting, AgriNet developers and QNAS shall not be held responsible for damages, inaccuracies, or losses resulting from misuse, data entry errors, or external technical issues.

12. Acknowledgment
By checking the “I Agree” box or proceeding with account registration, the user acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
